The Eco Board Project, and ProjectX

The two combined are our Materials and Engineering Test Platform we use to forward our mission for High Performance and Sustainable Products. In collaboration with Sustainable Surf we are able to collaborate and research different materials, and certify that our products are the most sustainable possible for our customers. And Project X is our collaboration with our team, to ensure the shapes and designs perform and meet the design criteria for the surfer at hand.

The EcoBoard Project

An ECOBOARD is a high-performance sustainable board. ECOBOARDS have the same technical performance attributes as any modern water-sport board, while having reduced environmental and toxic impacts – through the use of more sustainable materials and manufacturing processes. How can you tell your board is an ECOBOARD? Any Epoxy surfboard built at the route one factory is a certifiable ECOBOARD. But to put a stamp on it…. we did. Just look for the ECOBOARD logo and serial number on the Bottom of the board.

Project X is the ongoing R&D collaborations with team riders to ensure that the shapes, designs and materials are the highest performance possible.  We take notes on old boards in the lineup, and combine the knowledge with new ideas to create new boards, that later translate into new models.  If you are lucky enough to nab one of these up for sale on the used rack, be sure to get back to us with your feedback as well.  You can tell which ones they are by looking for the blank X in place of a logo.  There are clues in the signature as to how the board will go, and what templates were used to create it.
