The Throwback

The Throwback is a board we’ve been making off and on privately for a few years that just recently took shape into something really special. This is a board born in the early 2000s with a modern twist to bring it back to life. Think Campaign 1 days of 6-1 and 6-2 swords. We decided if we were going to go retro, we wanted to connect with the days of being 12 years old watching those punk movies of thrash and bash surfing. So we took the Dirty Harry OG model, went narrower thinner and longer then we bent it in half. The focus of this board was projection of the bottom and out of turns to keep it moving. Its not the most amount of rocker we’ve ever done…. BUT ITS A LOT. AND ITS A LOT OF FUN. It does have a modern fuller plan shape and more foam under the chest then those old boards and that’s the 2020 influence you will feel that allows the board to paddle really well and maintain speed. This is a board for pro level rail and barrel thrashing, or someone who just wants to experiment with their surfing and try something new. We have actually had a lot of success with this board in the average surfer range. Either way let the nostalgia take the lead, throw on some old surf flicks, and let it rip with this board. Its a lot fo fun and I had maybe the most amount of fun i’ve ever had shaping them. Available currently as a squash but I could be convinced otherwise.

Average dims 5-10 x 18 1/4 x 2 1/8 at 23.5 liters. And 5-10 x 18 1/2 x 2 1/4 at 25.5 liters.
